My dear friends,

Our theme for 2012 and 2013 is "Serve the Lord with Gladness" which is based on Psalm 100. We hope that you will consider being a part of one of the many ministry opportunities at CCF! Where do you think that the Lord has gifted you? Would it be the Worship Team, or teaching or helping with the Children or Youth? The Bible has so much to say about serving as a result of our Lord giving us His saving life: "be not just hearers of the Word, but rather be doers..."; "and God gave some...to equip the saints...for the work of service"; "for the greatest among you is your servant..." On and on we could go with what the Word of the Lord says about how important it is to "serve the Lord with gladness!" Perhaps one of the greatest motivators to serving is the fact of what scholars call "The Priesthood of the Believer." In short, the Christian does not have to go through a priest or anyone else in order to speak with or be with God...every Christian, according to the Bible, is his or her own priest...we can go boldly before the throne at any time!! What a blessing! It is also true that a priest is to serve his master!! He is worthy of our service; as the Psalmist asks, "what shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me?"
