Frequently Asked Questions |
- What kind of Church is Christ Community Fellowship?
CCF is a non-denominational Bible Church, which means the church has no ties to any other church or denomination at this time. Our constitution & bylaws, however, allow us to consider affiliations in the future.
- What type of local church government does Christ Community Fellowship have?
CCF has authority divided in 3 ways: the Senior Pastor has oversight of the ministry aspects of the church with input from the church staff; the church council has oversight of non-ministry matters such as money, property, equipment, etc; and the congregation must be informed of all major decisions and given the opportunity to vote on the matters at hand. This method of operation brings checks and balances to the day-to-day matters of the church.
- Is CCF a church that follows the teachings of Calvin or Arminius?
CCF seeks to embrace the truth as it is found in God's Word and does not follow any one teacher or their teachings. CCF is a "Christ-Life" church (see "Philosophy of Ministry" in the CCF Constitution and Bylaws) that is mildly reformed in its beliefs.
- What is the main goal of Christ Community Fellowship?
Our goal is to see believers become ongoing disciples that allow, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ to live His life through them. At CCF, our heart is to follow the Lord's word in all aspects of our daily lives.
- How long has Christ Community Fellowship been in Albuquerque?
Like many churches, CCF began as a Bible study and developed into a church. CCF has been a church for a little more than five years.
- How do I join Christ Community Fellowship?
In order to join CCF you need to take the "Discovery 1" class which is offered on a regular basis at the church. "Discovery 1" covers such subjects as: "How to know if you are a Christian" and "The Church," which deals with the basic New Testament aspects of the church, as well as the distinctiveness of CCF.
- Do I have to become a member to participate at Christ Community Fellowship?
While membership is not a requirement for all points of service at CCF, it is a strategic step that moves you beyond being a "spectator" and allows you to be in a position to use your gifts and calling as one of our Lord's children.
- Is it possible to speak with the Pastor or one of the staff members?
Yes, the philosophy of our ministry staff is that we are to be as available as possible. Sundays are very busy for the Pastor and staff. As such, this is not the best time to speak with them. If you need to speak with Pastor Bob or a member of the staff, please call or email them and they will set up a time to speak with you.
- How do I ask a question at Christ Community Fellowship?
CCF is not closed and secret about any aspect of the church – we encourage people to ask questions. If you have a question, please contact our Pastor, Bob Brown at
